
Dr. Aiswarya Kunnath Poovakka

Dr. Aiswarya Kunnath Poovakka is a distinguished scholar with a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, where her research focused on enhancing streamflow predictions in ungauged basins through the application of remotely sensed data. Her academic foundation includes an M.Tech in Geoinformatics and Natural Resources Engineering from IIT Bombay and a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Kerala Agricultural University.
In her professional journey, Dr. Aiswarya served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at IIT Bombay, concentrating on bias correction techniques for satellite-based precipitation products and their application to integrated water resources management. As a Research Associate at the Institute for Climate Change Studies (ICCS), she made substantial contributions to assessing the impacts of climate change on Kerala's water resources, demonstrating her expertise in hydrological and climate systems.
Additionally, Dr. Aiswarya has worked as a project consultant, leveraging her technical acumen to address complex water resource challenges. Her scholarly output includes numerous publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, complemented by presentations at esteemed national and international conferences. Through her academic and professional endeavors, she has consistently advanced the understanding and management of water resources in the context of climate change and sustainability.
