Accumulated Rainfall

Loading Accumulated...

This is an experimental rainfall nowcast, designed to provide a high-resolution prediction of near-future precipitation. The forecast is generated by processing real-time data from geostationary satellite using infrared and water vapor channels to measure cloud properties and atmospheric moisture. To enhance accuracy, the system also incorporates a high-resolution Digital Elevation Model (DEM), allowing the model to account for the influence of local terrain on weather patterns. This combined data is fed into a sophisticated deep learning model based on a ConvLSTM architecture, which has been trained to identify the complex, dynamic patterns that precede rainfall. The resulting map displays the predicted rainfall intensity in millimeters per hour (mm/hr), with updated forecasts generated continuously as new satellite data becomes available. As an experimental product, it is intended for informational purposes and should be used as a supplementary tool alongside official meteorological forecasts.
