Dr. K Rajendran earned his Ph.D. and Masters in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where he also received the Academic Excellence award. He subsequently pursued postdoctoral research at Florida State University and was awarded the JSPS Fellowship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, working as research scientist at the Meteorological Research Institute, Japan Meteorological Agency. Prior to joining KSCSTE-ICCS as director in June 2024, he served as Chief Scientist at CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute (CSIR-4PI), Bangalore. For about two decades, Dr. Rajendran has been engaged in research and development in climate modeling, climate variability, climate change projection and climate change impact assessments, and held management roles within CSIR-4PI.

Dr. Rajendran's primary research focuses on climate modeling, with extensive involvement in multi-institutional network projects and grant-in-aid projects funded by ISRO, DST, MoES, CSIR, and the Government of Kerala. He is recognized for pioneering high-resolution climate change projections of the Indian summer monsoon and extreme events over India using high-resolution global climate model and regional climate model based dynamical downscaling.

He has contributed significantly to policy and academia, having served on the Working Group for Climate Change under the Government of Kerala, as a member of the Board of Studies at Cochin University of Science and Technology, and as Associate Editor of the Journal of Earth System Science of the Indian Academy of Science.

Dr. Rajendran has authored approximately 50 refereed journal articles, 6 book chapters, and several technical reports. His publications in high-impact SCI journals and their citations underscore the ongoing significance of his research.

Dr. C. C. Bajish obtained his Master of Science in Physical Oceanography from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He was awarded the prestigious MEXT Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Japan, to pursue a PhD in Japan. Dr. Sinan Nizar, earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, where his dissertation focused on " Satellite Based Top-Down Approach for Modelling Aerosol Source Strength and Its Application in Discerning Rainfall Trends". He holds an MTech. in Water Resources Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Agartala and a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from SAINTGITS College of Engineering (Mahatma Gandhi University), Kottayam........
